HUD Guide

The Package Chaos HUD is small on purpose. FunTap Games wants you looking at cartons, not at a quest log. Official screenshots still print enough widgets to run the job: a package counter, a shelf counter, Gold, hand slots, hover names, a green placement ghost, and a three-slot skill hotbar. This page names them so you stop guessing. Pair it with how to play and controls.

Top-left: the job counters

Package counter (1/4096, later 4/4096, 47/4096). Packages stocked versus the full 4,096. FunTap’s marketing number lives here. Floor-clearing that is not stocking does not move this number the way you hope. First Stocked, 100 Stocked, and 1,000 Stocked on the achievements page are checkpoints on this counter.

Shelf counter (0/512). Shelves completed versus 512. FunTap’s pre-launch social copy said 4,096 packages, 512 shelves, 0 employees. Shelf Complete is the achievement that cares about a finished bay. A stylish island of mixed logos is still 0/512 with better lighting. See how to stack and the warehouse map.

Gold (coin icon). The currency. Stocking pays. Skills spend. Magnet Hand is printed at 80 Gold to unlock, LV 0/5, 60-second cooldown. Other diamonds on the Skills board show walk, sprint, carry (seen at LV 5/10 in one official shot), and scan helpers. Rank them on the skills tier list after you read skills and money.

Bottom-right: what is in your hands

Hover or hold a carton and the HUD names the SKU: Swim Cap, Foam Roller, Diamond Cufflinks, Frozen Pizza, Salmon Fillet, Cheese, Microphone, Mini PC, Smart Bulb, Gamepad, Camera, Gold Bar. Those names are identity. Two brown rectangles that do not share a name are strangers.

Hand slots (2/5, 1/7, 0/10). How many cartons you currently hold versus capacity. Too Heavy exists because this number has a ceiling. Magnet Hand fills empty slots with matching SKUs from the floor. Do not magnet the wrong SKU across a lane. How to sort first.

Bottom-left: hotbar 1 / 2 / 3

Official shots show three diamond skill slots. Bind them on controls where a bumper will not drop the carton. Slot one is often a grab or scan context in those shots; confirm the tooltip in your build instead of trusting a wiki icon encyclopedia. FunTap did not publish a full named tree on the store page. We describe jobs, not invented node titles, except Magnet Hand, which is printed in-game.

Center: inspect chrome

A green outline on a hovered carton means you can interact. A green hatched ghost on a shelf cell is a placement preview. Official Shark Security shots show that ghost on a hardware bay. It is not a “close enough” stamp. If the SKU disagrees with the shelf tag (Microphone, Mini PC, Smart Bulb, Gamepad, Camera on electronics racks), put it back.

Shipping faces often show an A / Priority Mail label plus a product picture. Matching the picture is the first identity confirm. Matching the carrier banner is the second. Matching the handling mark is the law. Tips covers Polar Bear Cold Chain when the mark says frozen and your brain says blue.

Pause opens a yellow Skills board. Gold sits at the top (one shot shows 201). A detail pane on the right names the selected node, its level, cooldown, and cost. Magnet Hand text: “Pulls indexed ground items with the held item’s SKU into available hand slots.” Current: Locked. Next: fill available hand slots / cooldown 60s. Cost: 80 Gold.

Buy after you can say the pain. Skill Check and Skill Veteran sit on the twelve-achievement list on purpose. The HUD will not stop you from dumping the wallet. The sorting checklist will, if you tick the money box last.

What the HUD will not do for you

It will not yell when you file Eagle Post under Star Express. It will not start a shift clock. It will not draw a minimap. Steam tagged the game as playable at your own pace. The HUD is a progress bar for honesty, not a siren. If the numbers stall, you are stacking without stocking. Go back to inspect. If the numbers move and the aisle dies, you are stocking without stacking. The warehouse is still the same rectangle. The HUD just refuses to lie about how much of it you have actually finished.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common warehouse questions.

What does 1/4096 mean in Package Chaos?

Packages stocked out of 4,096. It moves when you place a true match, not when you tidy the floor into a mixed pile.

What is the 0/512 counter?

Shelves completed out of 512. FunTap printed that number next to 4,096 packages. Finish a bay; see how to stack.

How do hand slots work?

They show how many cartons you hold versus capacity. Magnet Hand fills empty slots with the held SKU. Too Heavy is the warning if you greed.
