Package Chaos System Requirements

Package Chaos is a $4.99 Steam game, not a free-to-play client that hides the GPU line. FunTap Games published minimum specs on the store page. This page repeats them, then adds the platform facts that change whether you buy: Windows vs macOS, no Linux listing, full controller support, Steam Cloud, Family Sharing, and a 2 GB install that still wants DirectX 12.

If the game already runs, you do not need this page — go get started. If you are on a 2014 laptop hoping “cozy” means “integrated everything,” stay here.

Windows minimum (Steam)

• Processor: Intel Core i7-4790K or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X
• Memory: 8 GB RAM
• Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6 GB or AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT
• DirectX: Version 12
• Storage: 2 GB available space

Steam did not fill a separate recommended block with new numbers at launch. Treat the minimum as the honest line. A GTX 980 Ti / RX 6500 XT class GPU is not a joke requirement for a cute box game. Unique packages mean unique meshes and labels. If your GPU is a generation or two under that, expect to lower resolution before you write the review for the store.

macOS minimum (Steam)

• OS: macOS 12 Monterey
• Processor: Apple M1 or Intel Core i3-6100
• Memory: 8 GB RAM
• Graphics: Apple M1 GPU or Intel Iris Plus 640 (Metal required)
• Storage: 2 GB available space

Metal is required. If a Hackintosh or an ancient Intel Mac is still on OpenGL cosplay, this is not the warehouse for it. M1 is the realistic modern target. FunTap is a small team; Mac support is a real courtesy, not a promise of every Apple Silicon GPU quirk being patched on day two. Check launch notes if a Mac-specific patch lands.

What Steam does not list

Linux. Not listed. Do not expect a native build because cozy games sometimes get one later. Proton may work; it is not official, and this wiki will not pretend it is.

Steam Deck compatibility. The store showed unknown at launch. Deck players should verify after purchase rather than assuming a first-person grab game is Perfect on a handheld. Full controller support helps. Tiny labels may not.

Internet. The game is a single-player organizer with Steam Cloud. You need Steam to license it. You should not need a raid-night connection to stack cardboard.

Controllers, cloud, sharing

Practical performance notes

• 2 GB storage is the install line, not a screenshot folder. Keep headroom for Steam and Cloud.
• 8 GB RAM is the floor. Close the browser with 40 wikis if you are on 8 GB and also running Discord.
• DirectX 12 on Windows means Windows 7 nostalgia boxes are out, even if they once ran other FunTap titles.
• First-person plus thousands of unique packages can hitch when you turn into a dense aisle. If hitching is GPU, lower resolution. If hitching is you clipping stacks, that is how to stack, not a driver.

Languages on the disk vs languages on this wiki

Steam interface languages at launch: English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, French, Italian, German, Spanish (Spain), Russian, Arabic. This wiki localizes English, French, German, and Spanish. The game client may offer more than the wiki. Price, achievements, and specs do not change with language.

Buy checklist

1. Confirm OS and GPU against the tables above.
2. Confirm you want a single-player cozy loop — read the review if unsure.
3. Buy on Steam (launch list price $4.99 USD; FunTap ran a short introductory discount).
